BLOW FLIES

Blow Flies has been co-curated by Danaé Panchaud, Nadine Wietlisbach and myself. The show at the Photoforum PasquArt includes seven artists who have been working on new ideas about the still life: Emile Barret, Vanessa Billy, Saskia Edens, David Gagnebin-de Bons, Christian Gonzenbach, huber.huber, Virginie Otth.
Opening is on Saturday, October 12 from 5pm
The show is on until November 24 2013.

Blow Flies shows different perspectives in contemporary photography and fine art working with the arthistorical genre of Still Lifes. In the rooms of the Photoforum you'll not only find photographic approaches but sculptural, filmic and ephemeral interpretations of Still Lives. The decay, the process that leads to the downfall and its different conditions are central to this show. The suppressed, the invisible, the ambigious relation to life and the animated, and the tension-filled areas between nature and artificiality.
